Hard Chrome Plate: What You Didn’t Know About The Hard Chrome Plating

Hard chrome plating is a process where hard chrome is electroplated and deposited on the surface of a base material for protective reasons. And while most of us use chrome plated materials in our day to day lives without even realising it, here are a few things you did not know about hard chrome.

•  Hard chroming process is termed as a cold process as the temperature does not exceed 50-60 degree Celsius. This ensures that there are no detrimental effects on the base material the coating is taking place upon.

•  The deposited chrome is extremely hard in nature and nothing can penetrate through it damaging the base material. This automatically increases the life of the base material as it protects it against all kinds of wear and tear, corrosion, etc.

•  This hard chrome plate can be very easily stripped down once one notices the wear and tear of the exterior. This ensures that the base material remains untouched and can be coated with a separate layer anytime.
